Getting Started — Your First Project

Step-by-step guide

   Go to devportal.asktheplans.com and click Sign Up

   Welcome to AskThePlans — the fastest way to get answers from your construction documents. Open devportal.asktheplans.com and click the Sign Up button to begin registration.

   Enter your details

   Enter your first name, last name, and email address, then create a secure password. Review and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to continue.

   Create your account and verify your email

   Click Create Account to complete registration. An activation code will be sent to your email address. Enter the code on the next screen and click Activate Account to verify and activate your account.

   Create your first project

   Each construction project in AskThePlans has its own dedicated workspace. Enter a project name and click Create Project to open your new project workspace. This is where you'll organise plans, documents, conversations, and tasks for that build.

   Ask your first question

   AskThePlans can answer construction and NCC questions immediately, and can also analyse your uploaded plans, drawings, approvals, and project documents. Simply type a question in the input box to get started, or try one of the example questions to see how instant answers work.

   Explore the workspace

   Use Channels for team discussions, manage work with tasks and milestones, and keep project documents organised — all in one place. Click your profile menu to access account settings and billing. Use the project menu in the top-left corner to switch between construction projects or manage your projects.

   Upload your project documents

   Click Manage Files to upload project plans, drawings, approvals, and other construction documents. The more relevant files you upload, the more accurate and project-specific AskThePlans' answers will be. Click Take the Tour any time to learn how the different sections of AskThePlans work together.
